Below the menu bar is one or more toolbars. Which toolbars are displayed is controlled by toggling them on or off from the toolbar pull-down in the view item on the menu bar.

Normally

STANDARD and FORMATTING are selected, and if you are using Word-Art that toolbar is also selected.

FILE: New, Open, Close, Save, Save-AS, Print, List of last used documents

EDIT: Undo, Repeat, Cut, Copy, Find, Replace,

VIEW: Normal, Page, Outline, Toolbars, Header/Footer mode, Zoom
